ABOUT HECATE
Founded in Paris, France, Hecate offers a collection of museum quality Jewellery and Decorative arts, with a speciality in Georges Braque artworks.
At first, Hecate was responsible for defending and promoting the collaborative work undertaken in 1960 between Georges Braque and Heger de Loewenfeld, co-authors of Bijoux de Braque, exhibited at the Palais du Louvre (Paris), from march to may 1963.
Loewenfeld, lapidary and creator of fine jewelery, left his archives and the management of his workshop in Hecate, which became the only authority to authenticate the work of Braque's Jewelry.
With this experience, Hecate has expanded its business area to include pieces from the Avant-Garde period (1910-1939) and sometimes from Ancient Art, especially from Ancient Greece, where Georges Braque did find an important part of his inspirations.
The Hecate collection also offers late 19th century to mid 20th century decorative arts like special pieces of furniture, lightnings, ceramics, books.
Hecate certifies a strict authenticity of all pieces presented for sale and assures an express insured shipping to your door.
Wishing to establish a relationship of trust and offer a quality service, Hecate also offers services for your property, like free valuation, estate appraisals
and advices on authenticity of your pieces.
